A SUSTAINABLE FOCUS FOR UNITRUNK

In the wake of the Covid-19 global pandemic, many businesses have realized the importance of making changes within their organizations and production practices in order to pave the way for a more sustainable future.

Sustainability has been a key element to innovation and design at Unitrunk for years, but more recently we have taken a number of steps to further enhance our sustainable approach to business.

Most recently, following the installation of solar panels at our Lisburn manufacturing site, we now have the capability to produce over 100kWh/day on average annually. The solar energy harvested by the panels has the potential to power our entire office and manufacturing facilities throughout the year, all while reducing our company’s carbon emissions and contributing to a cleaner environment.

We have also made the switch to energy efficient LED lighting throughout all office and factory buildings, at both our manufacturing sites, in a continued effort to consume less energy throughout the business as a whole.

We have the overall ambition to operate a NetZero manufacturing facility by 2030 and have a number of planned investments scheduled for the coming months and years to make this vision a reality.

As a respected supplier to the Renewable Energy industry, we are keen to support the sector, and the environment as a whole, by making the conscious move towards sustainability where possible within our business and leading by example in the manufacturing industry.
