ZM FINISH ADDED TO CABLE TRAY RANGE

Our market-leading cable tray system is now available in ZM (Zinc Magnesium), as well as existing finishes (pre-galvanized, hot-dip galvanized, powder coated and stainless steel).

ZM is a metallic coating applied to steel which is made up of a chemical composition which includes Zinc, Magnesium and Aluminium.

The unique composition offers excellent corrosion protection which is equal to Hot Dipped (aka Post) Galvanized steel, as well as several additional benefits.

By eliminating the galvanizing process, we have reduced our carbon footprint by cutting our CO₂ emissions associated with additional transport and material processing requirements, making ZM finish better for the environment.

The removal of the process of galvanizing finished products also results in dramatically reduced order lead times. This offers the perfect solution to customers who are on time-sensitive, but still high-spec projects, which require a durable cable management solution.

In terms of the material finish itself, when ZM products are exposed to the environment, a dense, protective film forms over the steel. This film protects the entire product, including cut-edges, scratches and perforations, providing excellent corrosion protection.

The superior performance, versatility, cost, and time efficiency of ZM, lends the material to a wide range of industry applications. It has been found to be particularly beneficial for use in solar structures, agricultural, construction, infrastructure and throughout the electrical industry.
